Hi, my name is Ruby!
I live with my family in Hamburg, Germany, where I also completed my Masters in Illustration at HAW (University of Applied Sciences Hamburg). During my studies, I spent a year abroad in Baltimore, studied at MICA (Maryland Institute College of Art) and discovered the joy of creating art for children.
I create illustrations for publishers in the children's book and stationery market, including various projects such as picturebooks, boardbooks, stickers, firstreaders and greetingcards.
My work is heavily inspired by nature and I particularly like to illustrate animals, plants and florals but also fantastical motifs.
I am part of Cornelia Funke’s Artists in Residence program which is both, an inspiring space and a valuable opportunity for exchange with other artists.
